Spring Garden Crop & Chocolate Workshop

Long Grove Strawberry Festival

If you love strawberries – you’ll LOVE Long Grove’s annual tribute to this tasty treat! Strawberry Fest is the granddaddy of Long Grove’s signature festivals, drawing thousands of music-loving, food-loving, and fun-loving visitors to the historic business district for the three-day event. It is considered one of the premier outdoor festivals in the Chicagoland area!

The pleasures of summer are celebrated with ‘berry wonderful strawberry inspired treats. All ages flock to dipping stations for the chocolate covered strawberries, fruit smoothies, ice cream, strawberry donuts, baked goods, as well as the farm-fresh berries. There is free entertainment for all ages throughout the village and shops host strawberry related activities.

This year’s celebration features the 5th Annual Strawberry Jam Kids’ Fair where families can explore a tent full of fun family-related exhibitors — from balloons to zoos! Admission is FREE. Kids’ entertainment, mascots, balloon artists, samples and items for sale make this event a perfect experience at the fest!

This delicious and not to be missed event takes place June 25th, 26th, & 27th, 2010. Hours of deliciousness are Friday 10 am to 8 pm, Saturday 10 am to 8 pm, and Sunday 10 am to 6 pm.

These animals include a lemur, baby pigmy goat, wallaby, and Nickie the famous dancing cockatoo. Nickie has stared on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Entertainment Tonight with Mario Lopez, and has won Pet Star on Animal Planet numerous times.  During you stay, make sure to stop by the Timber Ridge lobby on Friday evenings to meet these wonderful animals, capture some memorable photos, and get more information on the Animals Gardens and Dancing Horses of Lake Geneva.
